Grundy Co. man sentenced to 25 years for production of child porn

GRUNDY COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- A man who pleaded guilty to production of child pornography was sentenced to prison time.

Jimmy Rollins, 45, of Palmer was sentenced to serve 25 years in federal prison and five years supervised release.

Rollins pleaded guilty in February to producing child porn. Investigators with the Winchester Police Department say Rollins used the Internet to traffic child pornography.

Investigators searched his home in May of 2012 and found equipment used to produce child pornography and images and videos of Rollins engaging in sexual acts with a minor.

Investigators found at least 300,000 images. They say he sexually exploited at least 15 young boys from Grundy County and the surrounding area.

A detective told the court evidence collected from Rollins' home dated back to 1989.

"This guy was more involved with the actual contact with his victims. And he's actually on the videos with the victims. This has been ongoing for the better part of 20 years," says Chief Dennis Young with the Winchester Police Department.

All the scenes in the images were in Rollins bedroom.

Rollins had been previously convicted of two counts of statutory rape in 1994.
