Steady rains keep public works crews busy
CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- The City of Chattanooga Public Works crews responded to 12 uprooted and fallen trees over the weekend.
They have been working around the clock to get as much debris out of the roadway by Monday morning.
They are also working with EPB to connect power to several homes and business throughout Tennessee and Georgia.
City employee, Jim Willson said, "I've worked since 5 p.m. Friday morning."
The massive down pour of rain started on Friday hitting several counties causing quite the inconvenience. Crews were also called out to remove stuck cars in pool sized puddles and set up barricades to redirect traffic near the flooded areas.
