Red Bank apartment fire displaces residents

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - An apartment fire overnight in Red Bank leaves some residents displaced.

A fire broke out in the 2800 block of Dayton Boulevard around 12:30 Thursday morning.   Fire officials tell Channel 3 that eight units were affected, but only four were occupied.

Some residents had to be rescued by firefighters on ladders there was only one staircase available to get out of the building.

No injuries are being reported.

The Red Cross was on the scene to help the displaced residents.

No word on what caused the fire or the amount of damage.
