TBI ups reward for info on wanted fugitive
FRANKLIN COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of a wanted fugitive.
David Gordon Jenkins is wanted for the murder of a Franklin County man. The reward for information leading to his arrest has been increased to $2,500.
Jenkins is wanted for one count of first degree murder and one count of felony murder for the beating death of 26-year-old Corey Matthews.
Matthews body was found in a corn field in Cowan on March 24. Investigators say his clothes were wet and he had blunt trauma to the head and face. Investigators believe he was targeted because of his affiliation with the Aryan Nation.
Jenkins was added to the state's most wanted list on April 10. Investigators are concentrating their search in the Tennessee and Kentucky area.
Jenkins is a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He is 5'10" and weighs approximately 185 lbs. He has numerous tattoos on his body as well as numerous scars. He also has a lengthy criminal history which includes assault, drug trafficking and robbery.
Three other people have been arrested in connection with the murder. Cody Holmes, Todd Dalton and John Lanier are all being held in the Franklin County Jail without bond.
All four subjects are from Coffee County and have known affiliations with the Aryan Brotherhood and Aryan Nation.
