KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WRCB) -- Jarnell Stokes has made a decision regarding his basketball future.
But he's not ready to make it known for at least one more day.
The Tennessee sophomore forward has called a press conference for 11 a.m. ET Saturday morning to announce his plans for the upcoming NBA Draft.
Underclassmen have until Sunday to declare for the draft or announce they are returning to school. Teammate Jordan McRae announced two weeks ago he will be returning to UT for his senior season.
Stokes was the Vols' second-leading scorer (12.4 points per game) and leading rebounder (9.5) last season, but has drawn mixed reviews from NBA scouts. Most 2013 mock drafts do not have Stokes being selected, though he is listed in most draft rankings for 2014.
Tennessee head coach Cuonzo Martin told the Knoxville News-Sentinel he planned to speak with Stokes Friday afternoon about his decision, which he believes was finalized earlier this week.
Martin told the News-Sentinel's Brendan F. Quinn he viewed the situation as "50-50" whether Stokes would turn pro or return for his junior year.
