Main Street shooter sentenced to 16 years
CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- A Chattanooga woman has been sentenced to 16 years behind bars for a 2010 shooting that killed a man.
Quinisha Brabson was convicted of second degree murder for the death of Timothy Nichols on April 8, 2010.
Police say she shot Nichols near the intersection of Main and Willow streets in what was described as a failed drug deal.
Nichols was shot while he was behind the wheel of his car, which caused him to crash.
In the past, Brabson claimed she shot Nichols because she though he was going to hurt her friend.
She was sentenced in Hamilton County Court Monday morning.
