(WRCB) - We will start our week a little warmer than the weekend, but just as comfortable as you would want it to be.
Starting with today, look for partly cloudy skies and normal temps in the low to mid 70s.
A ridge of high pressure will continue to keep us comfortable through Tuesday with similar weather as today.
The next big change comes in on Wednesday in the form of a cold front that will move through overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning. It will bring showers and storms to the area Wednesday morning, and we will see them continue on and off through the day as the front slowly moves through.
The air won't be too unstable ahead of the front, so no severe weather is expected at this point.
Behind Wednesday's front, we will see another dry spell (just a few degrees cooler, too) that will lat Thursday and Friday.
Our weekend will be a bit suspect. An area of low pressure will move through Saturday morning. This low will track across the southern U.S., and will bring good rain Saturday, but little to no thunderstorms. Systems like this are notorious for being slow movers, and having the ability to draw up lots of moisture. I would expect some periods of heavy rain Saturday.
That low could continue to stir things up, and bring us scattered showers Sunday and Monday as well.
