(WRCB) - Good Sunday. Expect another near perfect day today with highs still a bit below normal near 70 degrees.
We will have a weak trough of low pressure pushing through that will bring some clouds through the Tennessee Valley, but these are high clouds, and I do not expect any rain with them.
High pressure and some slight warming will keep us dry, and allow us to climb back into the mid 70s by Tuesday.
Wednesday, another front will move through. This could bring some heavy rain and some thunderstorms during the morning and early afternoon. At this point, it looks like we won't have enough instability to create severe weather, but we'll keep an eye on it.
Late Wednesday into Thursday, we will be a bit cooler behind the front, and we will stay dry.
Okay...here is what I'm thinking right now for the weekend.
I definitely think we will have an area of low pressure moving in from the southwest on Friday. The big unknown is timing. This is different from a cold front in that this warm core type of low can slowly move through, last for days, produce heavy rain, and little to no thunderstorms.
The current timing has rain moving in late Friday afternoon, and lasting through Sunday. That timing is VERY subject to change as we are still 6 days out, but it is something to start thinking about if you have weekend plans (and who doesn't?).
