230th Sustainment Brigade gets new leader

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Saturday, the 230th Sustainment Brigade got a new and seasoned commander.

Lt. Col. William Delcastillo received the honors after taking the reigns from Col. William Hart.

Delcastillo previously served as the brigade administrative officer and brings nearly 35 years of military experience to the new position.

He originally enlisted in the army reserve in 1978 and was deployed in operations Iraqi Freedom and Desert Storm.

He says today was one he has always looked forward to.

"this has been a great experience for me, and I would have never been able to do what I have done without the Tennessee National Guard."

The 230th Sustainment Brigade is one of four major commands within the Tennessee National Guard. It is composed of more than 2,300 soldiers.
