Stephen Curry scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half, despite shooting 7 of 16 on the night as the Warriors ended an 11-game skid against the Grizzlies.
WASHINGTON (AP) - Braden Holtby made 34 saves and Alex Ovechkin scored the second of three goals by the Washington Capitals in the first 17 minutes of a 5-2 victory over the Predators on Saturday night. Nashville's losing streak now extends to five games.
ATLANTA (AP) - Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 14 of his 18 points in the first half Saturday, when Georgia Tech used a big run late in the period to blow open the game on the way to a 87-57 win over East Tennessee State. The Yellow Jackets led just 24-19 after ETSU's Jalen Riley made a pair of free throws with 7:35 left in the first half.
CHARLESTON, Ill. (AP) - Jimmy Garoppolo passed for 240 yards and three touchdowns as Eastern Illinois crushed Tennessee State 51-10 in the second round of the FBC playoffs Saturday. Eastern Illinois will face Towson next week, which beat Fordham 48-28 earlier in the day.
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - UConn quarterback Casey Cochran threw for a school record 461 yards and four touchdowns in leading the Huskies to a 45-10 win over Memphis in the season finale for both teams. The redshirt freshman completed 36 of 54 attempts and didn't throw an interception in leading the Huskies to a third straight win after an 0-9 start to the season.
