TVA seeks feedback on proposed power lines

SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN (WRCB) -- The Tennessee Valley Authority is asking for the public's input on a proposed transmission line project in Marion County.

TVA is proposing to build four to six miles of 161-kilovolt transmission line which would extend from the existing Nickajack-Raccoon Mountain transmission line to the Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative's new substation which will be on East 10th Street.

TVA is considering alternate routes and is asking for public feedback.

There will be an open house April 25 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in South Pittsburg.
