CUMMING, GA (WXIA)  "He's amazing, he's one of a kind," said Lisa Polk of her 11-year-old son, Charlie.

She even credits him with saving her life two weeks ago.

Polk was driving him to another son's soccer game on March 27 when their Jeep Grand Cherokee suddenly veered off a narrow, winding Road, ran down a steep embankment and overturned into a creek.

"I don't remember going off the road, I don't remember being in the helicopter, nothing," Polk said Monday.

As she hung upside down and unconscious in the Jeep, her son, Charlie, tried to kick out the front windshield.

When that didn't work, he made his way out of a shattered back seat window, cutting his legs in the process.

Then he crawled up a steep 30-foot embankment to get help.
