Gudel and Green Win Southern 175 Series Bass Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The team of John Gudel and John Green dominated the field of 68 anglers to take first  place in the Southern 175 Series Bass Tournament on Lake Chickamauga this weekend.

Gudel and Green caught a 5 bass limit weighing 26.32 lbs. to win the event. Their catch was anchored by a 6.32 lb. largemouth that also won big fish honors.

Green said, "We caught them early, culled one fish at 12:30 p.m. and then we caught our largest bass of the day about 1:00 p.m., our 6.32 lb. largemouth. We ran a shallow water pattern most of the day."

This was the 3rd event of the 2013 Southern 175 Series season sponsored by Island Cove Outdoor Center.

The top 5 are as follows:
1st John Gudel and John Green with 26.32 lbs.
2nd Carter Day and Ron Willerson with 17.80 lbs.
3rd Hubert Hall and Andy Lusk with 17.55 lbs.
4th Jonathan Faith and Andy Parkinson with 17.19 lbs.
5th Rick Camp and Jamie Hatcher with 16.97 lbs.
