Afternoon shooting sends one to hospital Friday

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting Friday afternoon in the 5200 block of Woodland View Circle.

A 16 year-old male was shot, and has been transported for medical treatment of   a nonlife-threatening injury.  

A news releases from the Chattanooga Police Department reports the victim was outside when the suspect shot him and fled the scene in a car.  

The investigation underway.
