CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Dining out this weekend? The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had an o.k. week checking out restaurants.
According to Lead Inspector Jack Falcon there was one failing grade to pass along to you and that's a 66, found at the Waffle House at 7705 Lee Highway.
Remember, a failing grade is anything lower than a 70. They have ten days to correct all critical violations.
At the Waffle House, inspectors found whole raw eggs out of temperature, cooks and waitresses not washing their hands because the sink was not accessible, unlabeled chemicals in the kitchen, food handler not wearing hair protection, the toasters were dirty and they found rusty shelving in the kitchen.
The high score of the week was a tie at 97, and the winners are Top It Off on Broad Street and the Taco Bell on Dayton Pike.
Congratulations to those employees for their hard work!
