Rain, rain, go away

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Light rain showers will keep on through the day with some periods of heavy rain sprinkled in.

After all is said and done, we will have over an inch of rain on the ground.

We will not only be rainy today, but cool as well with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s.

This evening, the Lookouts have their home opener, but it looks like showers will still be hanging around at 7:15 when they take the field.

The rain will begin to break apart overnight, and by the time you are getting the kids to school Friday morning, only one or two sprinkles will remain.

Skies will clear rapidly through the day Friday with highs reaching the mid 60s.

The weekend looks even better with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 70s!
