Trenton man, 2 daughters killed in I-24 crash

OAK GROVE, KY. (WRCB) -- A north Georgia dad and his two daughters have been killed in a car accident near the Kentucky-Tennessee line.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Police says 38-year-old Michael Mahan of Trenton and his daughters Meagan and Savannah were traveling on Interstate 24 when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed the median, hitting a U-Haul.

Meagan Mahan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Michael and Savannah were transported to area hospitals where they died of their injuries.

It is unknown at this time if they were wearing seatbelts.

The investigation is ongoing.
