Dirty hands, dirty floors but some clean dogs and pizza

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- If you're dining out this weekend, we have some good news for you.

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a good week, reporting no failing grades among the restaurants inspected. According to Chief Inspector Jack Falcon, they did have a tie for the low score this week at 81.

Remember, a failing grade is anything lower than a 70.

The Palomino Steak House and Saloon on Rossville Blvd had freezers were dirty, a microwave that  needed a good cleaning, the floor needs fixing and cooks need to do a better job washing their hands.

On Chestnut Street you will find the Southside Saloon & Bistro. Inspectors found dirty floors, and walls, the ceiling needs a good cleaning, food not covered properly and the inside of coolers also need a good scrubbing.

We also have a tie for the high score of the week. How about a 98! Hats off to the Papa Murphy's on East Brainerd Road and Good Dog on Frazier Avenue both score a 98. Great work everyone!

Any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel, day care or a place you work out? Call the Hamilton County Health Department Hotline at (423) 209-8110 or email me.

Enjoy your meal!
