DAYTON, RHEA CO, TN (WRCB) - One person landed in jail after assaulting a woman and her daughter with a knife.

Thursday afternoon, Dayton City Police were called to a fight at the Eagle Exxon gas station on Rhea County Highway.

When they arrived, police found Terri Leeann Solomon, Robyn Cook and her daughter in the parking lot.

Ms. Cook told officers that Ms. Solomon was staring at her and her daughter in the parking lot.  When Cook tried to leave in her vehicle, Solomon ran to the driver's side door of Cook's vehicle and was sticking her body in the window. At that time Cook got out of her car to confront Solomon.  Solomon then pulled a knife out of her pants' pocket and stabbed Cook several times.

When Cook's daughter tried to help, Solomon attempted to stab her, managing to cut her stomach.

Solomon was taken to the Rhea County; Cook and her daughter were taken to the hospital.

Solomon was charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
