No criminal acts by district prosecutor found

CHATTANOOGA, TN. (AP) - The Tennessee Attorney General's Office says there is no evidence of criminal conduct by District Attorney General Steve Bebb.

According to the Chattanooga Times Free Press, the report faulted the 10th Judicial District prosecutor for poor judgment, mismanagement and deficient record keeping, but found no evidence of criminal acts.

Bebb said Monday night he had just received a copy of the report and reserved immediate comment.

Two area state legislators called for the review after a series of articles by the newspaper in August 2012.

The report stated Bebb's decision to not prosecute four law enforcement officers in separate cases were not indicative of illegal motives and fell within "the exercise of his prosecutorial authority."
