Windy, blustery weather will be the main weather theme of the day.
Due to the recent rain, we do have a few flood warnings in effect along some area creeks and streams as minor flooding may take place.
We can also expect to continue seeing flurries popping up here and there through Tuesday morning.
With the wind... in a nutshell, the circulation of air around a deep low pressure center lifting to our northeast is shooting the wind into the area. The contrast between that deep low, and an area of high pressure to our south is responsible for the strength of the wind. That gradient will be in place through the day, meaning the winds will stay strong. The Wind Advisory is in effect until 8pm.
The winds will lighten up through the day Tuesday, and high pressure will return to the area mid week bringing some sunshine, light winds, and warmER weather (mid 50s).
Do plan on some rain showers this weekend. The timing and intensity of any rain is up in the air right now, but we will refine the weekend forecast a bit more in the coming days.
