Hundreds turn out for Chattanooga Challenge

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Saturday, a few hundred brave souls dared to take on Chattanooga's outdoor obstacle course.

It's called the Get Out Chattanooga urban challenge. Everyone climbed their way through a grueling 10k course.

It started at Ross' Landing and began with everyone crawling under eight Volkswagen Passats. The course took you to Finley Staduim and back to the River Front.

Those crazy enough to do it say it was a great challenge.

"We did it for the challenge of it. It thought it  would be a good time and something healthy," says Ben Tate.

This was the first year for the event and coordinators say they were pleased with the turnout.

At the finish line everyone received a medal and a free concert.
