Man gets felony charge for stealing $3.25 ice cream sundae - WRCBtv.com | Chattanooga News, Weather & Sports

ORLANDO (WRCB) -- The Orlando Sentinel reports that 20-year-old Tobias Franklin was arrested on a felony charges for stealing a medium-sized sundae with sprinkles Wednesday from an ice cream vendor.

Police were told by the owner that Franklin ordered the sundae, and when  told the price of the sundae, snatched it from his hands, and walked out the door.

The owner chased Franklin on foot for a block, and went back for his car, chasing Franklin for a few blocks and calling the police.

Franklin now in jail on a charge of robbery by sudden snatching, which is a third-degree felony.

A police spokesman said he didn't know whether the ice cream was recovered.
