WALKER CO, GA (WRCB) - As storms rolled through on Monday, Walker County's new automated emergency calling system did not work as planned, but county leaders believe they've found a fix.
Resource coordinator Larry Brooks confirmed to Channel 3 some residents did not receive the alert about a tornado warning until after the warning had expired.
Brooks says there was a problem with communication between the system's mapping software the contact database.
He says the problem is fixed and the system should function properly.
