Enrollment for Tenncare begins today

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Open enrollment for the Tenncare assistance program begins today.

The standard spend down program will accept 2,500 new applicants.

The program is designed to help with high unpaid medical bills for lower-income, elderly or disabled people.

Applications will be accepted through the toll-free number 866-358-3230.

The line will shut down once the maximum number of applications have been received.
