EAST RIDGE, TN (WRCB) -- East Ridge Police arrested a man they say shoplifted from aRinggold Road Walgreens.
Police say the night manager reported a man wearing a blue dress left the store with a basket full of unpaid merchandise.
He followed the suspect until he lost track of him in the area of McBrien Road andMarion Avenue.
Someone reported a red PT cruiser picking someone up in the area the suspected shoplifter was last seen.
Police located and stopped the vehicle. The passenger matched the description of the shoplifter and a Walgreens basket was located containing the stolen merchandise.
The suspect was identified as William Patillo. He admitted to stealing the items and was subsequently arrested.
Patillo was charged with theft.
