Hamilton County van crashes, one person injured

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A Hamilton County inmate was hurt when a county-owned van crashed Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say the public works vehicle was on Aslinger Road.

When the driver entered a curve the van left the road, hit a sign and flipped into a small creek.

The inmate was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

The driver did not need treatment.
