CHATTOOGA COUNTY, GA (WRCB) -- Power has been almost entirely restored to North Georgia customers.
North Georgia EMC officials say, except for a few isolated case, power has been restored.
At one point, nearly 4000 people were without power across North Georgia. EMC officials say strong winds caused trees to fall, taking down wires and damaging electrical poles across seven Georgia counties.
EMC officials believe all power will be restored by the end of the day.
Power to the remaining homes that have not sustained
structural damage will be restored in the next two to three hours.
