Chattanooga police car shot 5 times

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting after an officer's patrol car was shot five times.

Police say the officer was responding to a call in the 4200 block of Fagan Street late Saturday night.

As the officer passed through the 4100 block, someone shot the patrol car five times. The officer was not hurt and was able to move to safety.

The suspect fled the scene.

Police are interviewing citizens and investigating the incident.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
