CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Chattanooga firefighters are investigating an early morningfire on Bonny Oaks Drive.

Officials say firefighters responded shortly after 2 a.m.Monday. The fire was at a vacant convenience store with attached apartments inthe back.

Officials say the whole backside was engulfed when theyarrived.

Witnesses told firefighters they heard an explosion then sawfire.

The apartments weren't occupied but officials say thebuilding sustained extensive damage.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
