March Chickamauga Team Tour Winners - Damon Taylor and Teddy OwensbyCHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - The Chickamauga Team Tour held their second tournament of the 2013 season at Chester Frost Park on Chickamauga Lake this weekend. There were twenty-six teams that fished in the event.
Warming weather and rising water temperatures helped propel the team of Damon Taylor and Teddy Owensby to the win in the March event.
"We caught all of our fish today in 2' – 4' of water using rattle type baits," said Taylor.
The duo caught a five-bass limit weighing a whopping 27.05 pounds to take the win and $1,000 first place prize.
The Team of Mitch Oliver and Johnathon Faith had big fish of the event with a giant largemouth bass that weighed 9.04 pounds which earned them $130.
The next Chickamauga Team Tour event will be held April 14th on Chickamauga Lake out of Chester Frost Park.
