Zaxby's gets a 96, but New China needs a little work

Posted: Updated:

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Dining out this weekend?

The inspectors at the Hamilton County Health Department had a great week, according to Lead Inspector Jack Falcon. There were no failing grades reported among the 19 restaurants they inspected.

Each week give you the low score and this week, it's an 80 at New China Restaurant on Broad Street. Remember, a failing grade is any score lower than a 70.

At New China, inspectors found dirty floors, along with some walls and a ceiling that needed repair. They also found dented cans, food improperly stored and cutting boards that need replacing.

The high score of the week goes to the Zaxby's on Signal Mountain Road with a 96.

If you have any complaints about a restaurant, hotel or motel..day care or a place your work out, call the Hamilton County Health Department Hotline at (423) 209-8110

Enjoy your meal!
