Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON, TN (Times Free Press) -- Charleston City Commissioner Larry Anderson abruptly resigned from his post Tuesday night, expressing disappointment over the city's current annexation process.

Anderson made his announcement before a commission meeting, turned in his city code book and immediately left the municipal building.

After the meeting, he cited his frustration with unexpected delays in the annexation process.
