Fire leaves a North Georgia family without a home

RINGGOLD, CATOOSA CO., GA (WRCB) - Fire leaves a North Georgia family without a home.

The blaze sparked around 5:00 Monday afternoon, at a house on Tipton Drive in Ringgold.

Battalion Chief Steven Quinn tells us four adults and one child lived in the home.

A woman and child were inside, but were able to make it out before fire destroyed it.

Investigators haven't said what started the fire.

The home is a total loss.

Chief Quinn tells Channel 3 the Red Cross was contacted to help the family with their emergency needs.
