ASHEVILLE, NC (WRCB) -- Kylie Lambert celebrated the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Southern Conference Tournament title on the court at the U.S. Cellular Center with her teammates after the Lady Mocs' 64-63 win over Davidson in Monday's championship game.

Turns out, that's not all she would be celebrating.

Lambert's boyfriend of more than three years, Grant Brown, dropped to one knee on the SoCon logo at center-court during the post-game festivities with a ring and a marriage proposal to the McMinn Central graduate.

She said yes.

"Getting two rings in one night, it's amazing. I'm speechless," said Lambert.

The senior forward had a painful year at times, battling shin splints that limited her play and practice.

She scored just five points in Monday's final, but still made two of the game's biggest plays. She sank a 3-pointer in the final minute of the first-half to help the Lady Mocs cut a double-digit Davidson lead to just seven at the half, then took a charge with 24.4 seconds to play that gave the ball back to UTC to set up Kayla Christopher's game-winning shot.

"I don't know really want to talk about it," Lambert shrugged when asked how much pain she was in throughout the game. "All I know is I feel great right now. The adrenaline got me through it. It feels amazing to win another title."

Brown may have been the happiest person in the arena after Christopher's shot found the bottom of the net.

The McMinn County High graduate said he'd been planning this proposal for a few weeks, but of course, it was contingent upon the Lady Mocs winning the title.

"I was pretty scared," he said with a smile, later admitting he didn't have a back-up plan. "I was nervous. I wanted to get it over with.

"But the reaction is exactly what I was hoping for."

The two shared a kiss as Lambert continued to wipe away tears of joy. She then returned to her teammates to start a brand new celebration.

"I was totally blind-sided," Lambert said. "It's a day that I'll forever remember."
