Several injured in Signal Mtn. Blvd. bus accident

Posted: Updated:

HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) -- Sixteen people are being treated for injuries after a bus goes airborne on Signal Mountain Sunday night.

Channel 3 was first on the scene as passengers were being taken off the Kentucky Weslyan College bus near Mushroom Way.

Officials say faulty brakes caused the vehicle carrying 40 people, including the driver, to veer off the side of Signal Mountain Boulevard as an attempt to slow it down. The bus was propelled over a hill on the side of the road.

No serious injuries have been reported from the incident.
