Chattanooga Police investigating drive-by shooting, one injured

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- A 20-year-old woman is in the hospital from what witnesses say was a drive by shooting on Roanoake Avenue.

It happened just after 6:00 Sunday evening off Wilcox Boulevard not far from Avondale Elementary School. 

A witness told our partners at the Times Free Press Sierra Holland was in a car when a cream-colored Toyota with two men in it approached. 

Police say the driver of that car fired multiple shots toward the car the woman was in and drove away. The 20-year old was struck once in the shoulder and transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made. The case is under investigation.
