Cherokee Co. deputies search for convicted sex offender

CHEROKEE COUNTY, NC (WRCB) -- Cherokee County deputies are searching for a convicted sex offender who they say failed to register.

Deputies say Larry Wayne Reid was released on bond February 28 for a robbery charge. Officials say he failed to register his address upon release.

Deputies say he may be with April Michelle Burrell.

Reid is a convicted sex offender out of Georgia.

Warrants have been issued for his arrest. If you have any information, please contact the Cherokee CountySheriff's Office at 828-837-2589 or call 911 to report Reid's location.

The public is advised not to approachReid as he is known to be violent.
