CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Tonia John goes walking during her lunch break, hits the gym with her women's boot camp class 5:30 in the morning three times a week, and she has changed her diet completely. In less than one year she has lost 70lbs, and she says she has a new life.
Tonia Johns begins her day at 5:30 a.m. in a boot camp class. For her breakfast she's served sprints, tire pulls, and pushing sleds. She admits the class is challenging but once she made up her mind to do it, it was worth it! Tonia hasn't always been keen on working out.
Less than a year ago she was in a size 18 and she said she needed to make change.
After changing to a strict 1,200 calorie-per-day diet, with no sweets and a regular workout routine, Tonia is now a size four. Alex Williams is Tonia's trainer.
Williams says that Tonia continues to push herself daily and he has noticed a tremendous change physically, and Tonia says exercising has so many benefits.
Tonia continues to motivate her family, friends and coworkers. She plans to lose about 10 more pounds.
