WHITFIELD CO., GA (WRCB) - A North Georgia man was stabbed over $3,000, snatched right out of his own hands.

Forty-three year old Paul Durham was smoking outside the Family Dollar Store on Chattanooga Road in Rocky Face on Tuesday.

He told police a man asked to bum a cigarette, but must have seen his cash, as he reached for his pack.

The suspect then asked for a lighter. Durham says he took more than $3.000 out of his pocket to get it.

The suspect pulled out a knife, stabbed Durham in the in the arm and took off in a black car with all the money.
