Ringgold teen dies as result of vehicle accident

Posted: Updated:

RINGGOLD, CATOOSA CO, GA (WRCB) - A 17 year old died as a result of an accident Saturday night.

Georgia State Patrol says Jesse Clark was driving on GA Hwy 151 when he passed a vehicle on a double yellow line.

When he went back into the lane of traffic he went too far right. He then over corrected and the car went into an uncontrolled spin, down the embankment and began to rollover. The vehicle landed against a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, 19 year old Dakota Basham was injured but left the scene. Officials later located him. He faces unrelated felony warrants.

Neither were wearing seatbelts.
