NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -- Officials have confirmed that a drummer for country music singer Kellie Pickler has been critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash on I-65 in Central Kentucky on Saturday.
A source tells WAVE 3 News that Drummer Gregg Lohman, 36, of Goodlettsville, TN is in a coma. Master Trooper Norman Chaffins with Kentucky State Police said Lohman was airlifted from the crash scene to University of Louisville Hospital with head and neck injuries. He was in critical but stable condition on Sunday.
Lohman was driving a pickup truck involved in a four-vehicle crash Saturday in the southbound lanes of I-65 about three miles south of Glendale. Chaffins said Lohman had slowed for a fiery crash that happened 16 minutes earlier on the northbound side of the interstate when Mark Bowser, 58, of Lewisburg, OH failed to notice that traffic had slowed and crashed his 2013 Freightliner into the back of Lohman's truck. Lohman's vehicle then hit a 2005 Saturn SUV driven by Victor Martinka, 53, of Glenview, IL. Martinka's vehicle rear-ended a 2012 Chevrolet SUV driven by Stephanie Yates, 55, of Louisville.
