Pedestrian struck on Brainerd Road

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- A pedestrian suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a car Friday in the 3900 block of Brainerd Road.

Chattanooga Police said a man in his 60's stepped into the road and was hit by a car.

Witnesses on the scene said a mass of clothing, fried chicken and personal belongings were strewn across the roadway.

The victim's name has not been released.

It is unclear if the driver will be charged or not.
