Chattanooga woman indicted in death of niece

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - A woman accused of killing her infant niece now faces official charges.

A Hamilton County Grand Jury has indicted Jessica Fax for felony murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated child neglect.

Investigators say she was watching 3 month old Mia Fry while the child's parents were working.

The baby's father discovered her dead.

The medical examiner says the child had several major skull fractures, and had been dead at least six hours when she was found.

Jessica Fax is scheduled to be back in court May first.
