Four people charged in accident meth bust

ATHENS, MCMINN CO., TN (WRCB) - A mix-up of addresses leads McMinn County police to the discovery of a meth lab.

Two officers were responding to a domestic dispute, when they accidentally went to the wrong address.

Upon arrival, one of the officers noticed a strong chemical smell coming from the residence.

The house was searched and an active meth lab was located.

Four adults inside the house were arrested.

A 10-year-old was also in the home during the incident.

All four adults are charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and child endangerment.
