CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- Make sure the winter coats are still within reach.
We have 2 stages of cooler air on the way.
Stage 1: The system that brought the rain to us, and blizzard conditions to the Plains and the Midwest will now bring in some cooler air. Though highs will reach the low 50s today, they will not get out of the 40s Thursday and Friday. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s through the rest of the week.
Along with that cooler air spilling in, we may even see a stray sprinkle or flurry (depending on the time of day), but no accumulation or freezing on local roadways.
Stage 2: Another front will pass through Friday night into Saturday.This will bring another shot of even colder air Saturday and Sunday. Highs will be in the low 40s, and lows in the mid 20s by Sunday morning. We could even drop into the upper 10s Monday morning!
As the front passes through, we could see some light mixed precipitation Friday night, and some light snow showers Saturday morning that could provide a dusting Saturday morning.
