CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Quick-action by Chattanooga firefighters saves a home on Ivy Street Monday.
It happened in the 1900 block, shortly before 3:00 p.m.
Fire spokesman Bruce Garner says the homeowner's son saw smoke coming from the home and was able to get his father to safety.
Firefighters found the blaze in the kitchen and quickly put it out.
Investigators determined the fire was caused by food left cooking unattended.
No one was injured.
The Red Cross is helping the family.
