CALHOUN, GA (WRCB) -- Police in Calhoun continue to investigate an accident that resulted in the death of a Calhoun man over the weekend.
Saturday night, Calhoun Police were dispatched to Laurel Creek Dr. for a two vehicle accident with injuries.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a 2013 Dodge Charger was traveling east and lost control of his vehicle crossing over into the west bound lane striking a 2011 Jeep Wrangler.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler was treated and released from Gordon Hospital with minor injuries.
19 year old Kenny Owen Jr., a passenger in the Dodge Charger, was transported to Gordon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the Gordon County Coroner.
