Anglers Set Record Weights in February C.B.A. Tournament

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) – The team of Michael Neal and Rogne Brown caught a five-bass limit weighing 37.96 pounds to take first place and the $2,000 prize in the Nichols Marine February CBA Open Bass Tournament this Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Chester Frost Park on Chickamauga Lake.

They were also the highest finishing Tow Boat U.S. member which was worth an extra $100.

Michael and Rogne reported using the Tennessee Rig's to catch their winning stringer.

The duo of John Gudel and John Green won the over-all big-fish honors with a giant largemouth bass weighing 9.88 pounds which earned them $420.

T.W.R.A. was on hand to get samples from any fish over 8 lbs. to help with studies on their Florida Largemouth Stocking Program here on Chickamauga Lake. Officials from T.W.R.A. said they were able to get samples from seventeen fish at this event.

Wes Hardin and Jason Cook won the biggest spot award with a spotted bass weighing 4.46 pounds and earned them $60.

Greg Lamb and Mark Heatherly won the biggest smallmouth award with a smallmouth bass weighing 4.46 pounds and earned them $140.

The team of Thomas Henshaw and Dusty Elrod was the highest finishing new team in the event which earned them a free entry into next month's event.

The father and daughter team of Anthony and Hayley Correll won the highest finishing Youth Division Team award and a free entry into next month's event.

2nd: Brent Butler and Matt Shrank with 36.44 lbs., $850
3rd: Roy Dye and Drew Tompkins with 32.74 lbs., $750
4th: Greg Lamb and Mark Heatherly with 32.28 lbs., $650
5th: James Milling and Buddy Gross with 30.33 lbs., $550
6th: Rick Camp and Jamie Hatcher with 29.77 lbs., $450
7th: Barry Wingo and Jeff Hineman with 28.64 lbs., $400
8th: William McDaniel and Brian Wells with 28.22 lbs., $350
9th: Adam Dysart and Jayme Copenhaver with 27.81 lbs., $300
10th: Andy Parkinson and Jonathon Faith with 27.59 lbs., $250
11th: Chris Coleman and Jimmy Cross with 26.79 lbs., $200
12th: Thomas Henshaw and Dust Elrod with 26.68 lbs., $200
13th: Steve Barnes and Spencer Smith with 26.55 lbs., $150
14th: Jeremy York and Justin Durham with 26.24 lbs., $150
