CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -- The Fannin County Board of Education sent a letter to parents Thursday stating that two classes at East Fannin Elementary were flagged for possible Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) violations.
The tests are used to measure student progress in the core areas of reading, language, math, science and social studies.
The violations were flagged due to a higher than expected 'wrong-to-right' answer analysis.
Violations are placed into four categories, based upon severity. Those from East Fannin Elementary were classified as 'minimal concern.'
The Fannin County Board of Education plans an investigation following Governor's Office of Student Achievement guidelines.
